A Family Relationship Centre (FRC) provides information about family relationships at all stages – forming new relationships, overcoming relationship difficulties or dealing with separation.
If you are experiencing separation, FRC staff will talk with you to help you focus on your children’s needs and help you decide what to do next. FRCs can also provide joint sessions with the other parent or family members to help you agree on parenting arrangements.
Family Dispute Resolution services (FDR) have been funded by the Federal Government to assist separating families who are having problems agreeing on all the changes that come with separation and divorce. FDR services will help families to work through their differences and focus on the needs of their children.
A Children’s Contact Service (CCS) aims to provide a safe, neutral, child focused environment in which visiting arrangements for children are facilitated. The CCS offers changeovers, supervised visits and offsite supervised visits.
The Parenting Orders Program (POP) assists separating families in high conflict over parenting arrangements. Family members, including children, can receive a range of services such as counselling, mediation and group work education as part of the Parenting Orders Program.
