Circumstances
"The Commissioner of Police is calling on members of the public to find 9 year old Reya LUNETTA from United States of America believed to be in Australia". Reya LUNETTA was removed from the United States of America on about the 28th June 2002 by her mother Camilla LUNETTA (AKA ELLEFSEN) without the consent of the father or an order of relevant Court in the United States of America. After travelling to Norway (home country of the mother) the child was again removed by the mother and they arrived in Perth Australia in August 2003. Inquiries have revealed both resided in the Perth suburb of Fremantle till February 2004 where it is believed they then travelled to the Eastern States. Despite extensive inquiries by police Reya's current whereabouts are not known.
The matter is currently the subject of a Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction application. Reya's return to the United States of America is sought by her father. Both Australia and the United States of America are signatories to the Convention.
Reya is currently 9 years old with blue eyes and a fair complexion she has a brown birth mark on the sole of her foot and a red mark on the rear of her head.
Camilla LUNETTA DoB 02/12/1973 ( 36 years) is caucasian has blue eyes, a tattoo on her right shoulder blade and her front tooth was chipped. She may use the surname of Ellefsen.
